Symptom and description
You may notice that the Remotes don’t exactly have the same battery life, and that one of the Remotes drains faster than the other. For instance, you fully charged both Remotes, and after one hour of using them, you notice that Remote A has 89% battery left, and that Remote B has 84% left.
Issue resolution
Phase Remotes have built-in Li-ion batteries, and each battery is unique. It is thus possible to notice a slight difference in the battery percentage when they are being used.
Devices equipped with Li-ion batteries (smartphones, tablets, laptop, handheld consoles, or digital cameras) generally have a fluctuating duration, depending on the way it is used, but also the temperature and the environment. This is a regular behaviour of such devices.
Also note that the Li-ion battery consumption is not linear: you may observe that one Remote discharges faster at the beginning of its cycle, but slower at the end, for example.
If you have a doubt on your Remote’s battery life, follow this simple testing process :
- Start Phase Manager, and keep it running during the whole test.
- Fully charge both Remotes to 100%, or until the LED is solid when in the Receiver.
- Start Phase Manager to monitor the battery level, then spin them.
- Note down the battery level every hour until it turn off.
