Setting up Phase with Traktor Pro

This quick setup tutorial provides detailed instructions on how to get your DJ equipment ready to use with Phase and Traktor Pro

Requirements 

• Phase up to date with the Firmware 9
• Any version of Traktor Pro
• A DVS mixer or soundcard

Detailed steps

1. Connect your DVS mixer to your laptop.

2. Connect your Phase to a power supply (5V) or your laptop using a USB cable

3. Connect the Phase Receiver to the "Line" inputs of your mixer (or DVS soundcard) via RCA

4. Switch the Deck source selector on on your mixer on USB (A or B) to enable DVS Mode.

5. In the Phase Manager "Setup" tab, set the Phase DVS signal to "Traktor"

6. Open Traktor Pro on your laptop, enable DVS in the settings, and set the decks mode to "Relative".

7. Make sure your DVS Mixer or DVS soundcard is selected in the Traktor “audio setup” tab.

8. Now, place your Remotes on top of your records, and wait a few seconds for the calibration to complete before you start spinning.

You're all set !

Please note that the “calibration failed” message is just a display misinformation. To manually disable it, open Traktor's preferences and in the "Global settings" menu, uncheck the "Enable deck header warning" box (in the middle of the window).

Phase and Traktor Pro FAQ

• Can I use Phase with Traktor Pro via HID?

As of now, there is no dedicated HID integration available to use Phase with Traktor Pro directly via USB. We are working on bringing this feature to our Traktor users and are in contact with the Traktor teams. We hope to see this integration live soon. However, we do not have a specific development or delivery date to communicate at this time. Stay tuned for updates!

• Can I use Phase with a controller as a mixer?

• I'm not sure if my setup is compatible with Phase

• Is Phase compatible with other DJ softwares (Virtual DJ, Rekordbox etc...)?
